About Superfine KL @ Seventeen Mall
Chef Larry is the founder of Superfine KL. And he got his start in the food and beverage industry as a young barista at VCR Galloway, another trendy cafe in KL.
After honing his craft there, he struck out on his own and opened The Lolla Co in AmpWalk.
It may be that the location wasn’t ideal, as the community craved a different kind of food. And that led to Chef Larry closing the eatery and starting again in PJ.
Fast forward 3 years later, and Superfine KL is still on a roll!

Don’t bother parking with street parking. Because the morning market and small stores around Seventeen Mall draw in the crowd.
But Seventeen Mall has plenty of parking spaces on its premises.
So, you can drive right into the mall for quick and easy parking. The parking fees are cheap at RM 1 for the first two hours.
Ambiance At Superfine KL
Superfine KL is a colorful pop art cafe. It combines contemporary industrial furnishings with an eclectic vibe.
It is comfortable to relax here while enjoying quality drinks and food.
Potted plants complement the neutral tones of the gray cushions and mahogany fixtures.
The saying “Out of This World,” emblazoned above the food counter. It conveys a sense of playfulness. And it’s also on a wall poster mingling with rockets – this is a good photo opportunity if there ever was one.
It is easy to find Superfine KL. It is on the ground floor, across the AEON MaxValue supermarket.

The staff is friendly, attentive, and patient with questions about the food. We didn’t have to wait long to get our food.
Superfine KL also offers free drinking water at no extra charge.

The Fennel Salt Fries made with real potatoes are a great appetizer dish. These straight cut fries with skin are healthy and tasty and crispy on the outside.
If you love your cheese, Cheesy Truffle Fries are another option:
This skin-on, straight-cut fries have Italian white truffle oil on top. Together with aged Pecorino Romano which adds a smoky and distinct nutty undertone.
Meanwhile, the signature Cubano sandwich is another rare discovery. It features salted roast pork shoulder (which is marinated for 48 hours). Along with chicken salami, coriander, Gouda cheese and American mustard on sourdough bread.
Pizza And Pasta At Superfine KL
The pizzas are very tasty, thanks to the unique sourdough base. They ferment their sourdough base for 72 hours before baking. The result is a light, crispy and flavorful crust that is not hard, but tender and soft.
We tried the margarita pizza and it’s a foolproof option.
One Day In Bangkok Pasta packs all the excitement the vibrant city has to offer. The Thai Nam Jim Jaew dipping sauce adds a spicy profile. And the fresh white clams, Italian sun-dried tomatoes and lemongrass provide Asian flavors. This pasta is delicious to the last bite!
Pork Carnitas Pasta did not disappoint either with its tagliatelle pasta. There is citrus and lard flavored roasted pork shoulder with organic kale. And to top the dish off, shaved Pecorino Romano cheese!
Vegetarian Options At Superfine KL
Superfine KL serves a variety of delicious vegetarian dishes too.
Mushroom Ragu Rigatoni Pasta is highly recommended. This vegan dish drenched in seasonal mushroom mix and tomato sauce.
The white miso broth and garnish of vegan ricotta cheese gives the dish the right amount of acidity. It is perfect for those who don’t fancy meat pasta!
Pricing At Superfine KL
Compared to other cafes in Petaling Jaya, the prices for food here are a bit higher. The average price for pasta is RM33, as is the Out Of This World sandwich collection.
But they make up for it with oversized portions that are ideal for sharing. Be prepared to fork out RM100 for a meal for 2 including drinks.
