This is another option for Chinese food for breakfast in Kuah town. We had pan mee and wan tan mee here and they are decent. They have a curry variation of their wan tan mee as well.
Other options include chee cheong fun (mushroom sauce) and chicken rice. For sides, you can order braised tofu with hardboiled eggs.
The stall has a spacious alley of sorts where customers can dine at plastic tables and chairs. Locals often frequent this little coffee shop.
And as a bonus, the coffee is nice too! The staff is pleasant but cooking times are a little slow.

2. Ulu Melaka Kopitiam

While it’s a small shop located in the Ulu Melaka area, it’s perfect for families, with plenty of food suitable for children too. There are vegetarian-friendly options as well.
Their toasts are surprisingly their signature dishes, with custom toppings such as half-boiled egg, cheese, black pepper, sausage, and baked beans.
Service can be a bit slow during peak hours, but their staff is friendly.

3. Nasi Lemak Mak Lang
Famous for their nasi lemak – tourists and locals alike flock to Mak Lang’s for the medley of side dishes that accompany their nasi lemak.

The rice itself is delightfully fluffy and flavorful with hints of pandan and coconut.
Other than nasi lemak, there is fried bee hoon.

A simple place for a simple but filling breakfast, Warung Coffee Langkawi is strategically located on the road along Cenang Beach.
The establishment is clean and because it is by the main road, you can sit down and watch people as they go by.
Known to serve one of the best nasi lemak in the vicinity, they also serve Western food options ranging from toasts and omelets to a full breakfast set.
PS: Their coffee is not great.
What’s more, its proximity to the beach is highly convenient if the beach is your next stop!

For another place where you can find delicious and reasonably priced nasi lemak in Langkawi, Nasi Lemak Kelibang has you covered.
Drop by this roadside stall if you are on the way to Padang Matsirat or if you are staying around Kuah town.
With many regular local customers, the squid egg curry comes highly recommended! Many like to order the fried chicken together with nasi lemak too.

Other than nasi lemak, you can also find a wide variety of delectable kuih to snack on later in the day. For beverages, their pulled tea is worth ordering.

If you have a big group with you, Bella Restaurant is your best bet to fit everyone at the same table.
Located in the popular tourist area of Cenang Beach, both tourists and locals frequent this breakfast spot.
You can find local favorites such as chicken rice, soto, laksa, and roti canai among many other options. Like their popular mee goreng.
Western food is also available – with spaghetti, salad, omelet, and even pizza.
Their portions are plenty, so you’re guaranteed to leave with a full stomach after visiting!
Another advantage of dining here is their good service. It is also possible to get a main and drink for around RM10 which is really affordable! They do have coffee here as well.

For a change of pace, try the roti canai at Warong Mak Som Roti Canai Sedap, where they’re known to serve the best roti canai on Langkawi.
Located down a small road behind a school, the fast service and affordable pricing make it an excellent breakfast spot on the island.
And while their roti canai is delicious enough on its own, you go a little extra with their roti telur cheese or roti cheese gedik.
They do have some interesting variations like their pisang roti (banana roti canai) or birds eye roti (with a Sunnyside up egg in the middle).
Be sure to wash it all down with a great cup of teh ais!

Drop by Toy Kopitiam for a bowl of springy chicken noodles or a plate of hot fried kuey teow with fresh clams to start your day right.
What’s more, the noodles and fish balls are all handmade –their packaged fish balls are purchasable as well!
That being said, the food portions can be a bit small, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself ordering another plate!
And the place is quite small too. Furthermore, because there is only one person doing the cooking, it can take time before you get your food.
