Score some good deals while shopping for chocolates in Langkawi! This duty-free haven has many international and local brands. You can get them at cheap prices at selected duty-free shops.
But not all stores offer the best variety and deals. We recommend that you check out theseshops!
1. Eastern @Cenang Duty Free Shopping
This colorful shop is small, but many products line the aisles. Including major international chocolate brands.
We surprised that they had rare flavours like Ritter Sport’s Honey Salt Almond among crowd favorites like Hershey, Snickers, and others.
The shop has a satisfying variety of chocolate snacks at very attractive prices. Besides this, the shop has an impressive lineup of alcohol too. These are in fridges and close to the counter at the entrance of the shop.
Above all, the staff is very helpful. They are willing to attend to queries even when we visited at the end of the day when they must have been tired.
Note: There are two branches of Eastern Duty-Free Shopping at Cenang Beach.
2. TS DUTY FREE SHOP
TS Duty Free boasts a vast selection of chocolate brands. There are even exotic durian-flavored chocolates. As well as imported brands sourced from Australia and Italy.
Because of their huge variety of chocolate brands, this chocolate shop is very popular. Prices are very competitive too. We found that several brands were cheaper here than at other shops along Cenang beach.
Customer service is top-notch too with attentive staff who address all queries. We found shopping here to be worry-free, comfortable, and pleasant.
3. Kompleks HiG Duty Free Mall (Perniagaan Haji Ismail Group (Main Outlet)
While Kompleks HiG has a typical Malaysian department store vibe that’s far from swanky, it has popular chocolate brands.
There are local brands like Daim and Beryl’s. And international favorites like Ferrero Rocher, Peppero, and more. But if you’re looking for any unusual brands, you will likely not find them here.
Interestingly, this duty-free mall happens to sell some of the cheapest minyak gamat (sea cucumber oil) on the island! As well as some affordable kitchenware.
And since the mall is beside HiG hotel, there’s a food court outside the building. On top of this, there is a huge parking lot and many public amenities (e.g., spacious toilets and prayer rooms) nearby. Which makes Kompleks HiG a preferred one-stop duty-free mall for locals and ex-pats too.
4. Coco Valley Sdn Bhd (Pantai Cenang)
Coco Valley features a diverse assortment of affordable cocoa products. There are markdowns during annual festivities.
They carry many well-loved chocolate brands. Such as Lotus, Ferrero Rocher, Pepero, Whittaker, and Cadbury’s.
While Kompleks Hig sells chocolate for cheaper, Coco Valley never runs out of stock. Plus, Coco Valley offers a decent variety of alcoholic beverages and cookware too.
You can find this shop along Pantai Cenang next to Aquaria Langkawi which makes it a convenient stop for tourists!
Note: Prices are slightly higher at Coco Valley than at other chocolate shops in Langkawi.
5. Warisan Duty Free
At the tourist hub of Pantai Cenang, Warisan Duty Free provides shopping convenience for tourists leaving in nearby hotels.
They have imported chocolates from brands like Nutella, KitKat, Mars, Snickers, and more. As for pricing, we found that it is cheaper to buy chocolates here than at the airport.
But some brands (e.g., Knoppers) are cheaper elsewhere. Still, the selection of chocolate brands at Warisan Duty Free is better than average.
This is our personal favorite among chocolate shops we visited in Langkawi. Prices are reasonable and they have some of the brands we were looking for. We bought most of our chocolate from this store.
Take note that this outlet only commences business at 1pm daily. Aside from chocolate, liquor, teapot sets, and cookery sets are popular items here.
They have alcohol too, but prices are relatively steep.
6. Eastern Native Duty Free Shopping Langkawi
Do not mix up this chocolate shop with the similar-sounding Eastern @ Cenang. Eastern Native Duty Free Shopping Langkawi is in the bustling city of Kuah, Langkawi.
The shop is at a corner lot facing the main street. It is a popular pit stop for tourist buses during the day.
Hence, queues to pay are usually long and the crowd swells during peak hours. We found that the best time to avoid the crowd here is at night from 8 pm onwards.
On the whole, they have a satisfactory selection of chocolate brands to choose from. Some at reasonable prices too. You can pick up a box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates for RM30++ (for 30 pieces). Elsewhere, expect to pay RM31++ and beyond for the same brand.
Apart from chocolates, there are alcoholic products, cigarettes, and a large cake display where they feature mouthwatering whole chocolate cakes for sale. We were tempted to get one but it wouldn’t make it back in one piece on our return journey for sure!
7. Ole Ole Duty Free Chocolate
With their selection of dark chocolate, white chocolate, and liquor-laced chocolates, there are a lot of choices for chocolates at Ole Ole Duty Free Chocolate.
They sell some of the cheapest chocolates along Cenang Beach. Beware that the best deals here are usually about to expire soon.
The chocolate shop is set within a spacious and bright air-conditioned mall (Cenang Mall). And so, Ole Ole Duty Free Chocolate is a convenient and comfortable place to buy chocolate souvenirs or late-night snacks.
Moreover, the staff is super friendly and will recommend brands if you have no idea where to start!

- Rams Home Decor Sdn. Bhd. – This shop in Kuah has a variety of chocolate for cheap! There are some chocolate brands you will not find in a typical supermarket. If you head upstairs, there are pillows, curtains, and batik items you can browse through.
- Billion Duty Free Supermarket (Langkawi) – For a one-stop shopping experience. You can get fresh supermarket produce and other daily essentials alongside a variety of leading chocolate brands and alcohol at attractive rates.
