For want of more Ipoh cafes to visit, Crema 65 should be on your list. As Cream 65 has its own way of staying on top of competition.
To start with, they offer some items that you don’t often see in other cafes. The drinks menu is particularly great if you are down to try some unusual beverages.

About Crema 65
Crema 65 has been opened since late 2021. We have passed Crema 65 many times before noticing its existence.
The café has plenty to offer on its menu – beautiful cakes of different flavors, croffles, afternoon tea and bento-inspired sets (pre-order required), pasta, and their signature baos.
Most cafes in Ipoh close on Wednesdays, but Crema 65 is open on Wednesdays (They close on Thursdays) which is the day we chose to visit.
Their opening hours are 10:30am right up to 7pm. Which means you can come here for brunch, lunch or tea.
Ease Of Parking At Crema 65
An open-air paid parking lot is close to Crema 65. Besides the sandy parking lot, there are parking lots in front of the shops.
But these are often full around lunch time. More so on weekdays as there are many offices in this area.
Ambiance At Crema 65
Crema 65 is in our opinion, one of the most inconspicuous cafes in Ipoh. You can find it upstairs alongside the same row as a watch shop. A sushi restaurant is just around the corner from Crema 65 too.
On the outside, a tiny and white A frame sign marks the café along with a faded upright banner.
Climb up the beige stairs and head inside to the café. You don’t have to go all the way up the stairs as that belongs to another business.
We have to say that we were very surprised by the custom solid wood handle that Cream 65 had for their glass door.
The inside of the café is not as impressive, but it is air-conditioned and comfortable. Crema 65 is spacious, with dark padded chairs and different sized tables (mostly for bigger groups).
Tables and seats by the window overlook the street below and shops across from Crema 65.
Service At Crema 65
Staff is polite, and diligent at table clean ups. Additionally, they take great care in creating the beverages too. Food presentation is appealing, and you will want to take a snap of your order when you get it.
We don’t have an opinion on service speed since we were the only other customers there besides another table.
Food At Crema 65
The only edible thing we ordered at Crema 65 was a slice of their Oreo matcha cake. And it was really good. Neither too sweet nor bitter. With a rich texture. Albeit not as rich as a cake from Secret Recipe.
There is a clear taste of both matcha and Oreo too. Plus, the cake is attractive!
Next were the drinks we ordered:
- Dirty Latte
- Spanish Latte
- Black Sesame Latte
All of us enjoyed our drinks. They have a good level of sweetness (i.e., not too sweet) and a lot of flavor.
PS: They do carry Niko Neko blends here if you’re interested in having a matcha latte.
Pricing At Crema 65
Our total came up to RM54. Drinks are priced around RM12. The slice of cake cost us RM15 or more if I remember correctly.
All in all, we will say that the price is not bad for the quality of food we got. We have been to pricier cafes in Ipoh (and been disappointed).
Conclusion
If you are in the area, we think Cream 65 is an ideal spot for a meet up with friends.
Note that Crema 65’s strong points are not their ambiance but their drinks. They have an interesting beverage selection. We do like their drinks and cake.
There are mains at Crema 65 as well, but we did not get a chance to try those. We will be back next time to try more drinks and food!
