About Omni Coffee Roasters
Omni Coffee Roasters started in December 2022 but back then, they went under a different name – Blooming Cafe.
And like Cold Blue Specialty Coffee and Jln Theatre Coffee Shop, Omni Coffee Roasters has its own roasting room.
They sell their in-house filter and espresso blends at the café with coffee beans from Kenya, Columbia, Ethiopia, Nicaragua, El Savaldor, etc.
The menu does not have any mains, but you can get soup, croissants, sourdough bread, and bagels here. Furthermore, they have cakes of the day.
As for beverages, there is dirty latte, hojicha latte, homemade kombucha, hot chocolate, and matcha latte among others.
Ease Of Parking At Omni Coffee Roasters
We don’t know about weekends but on a late afternoon on a weekday, finding street parking in this area is easy.
The café is in an upstairs lot in the middle of a shophouse row. And right next to another café, Chapter 6 Cafe Botani.
Ambiance At Omni Coffee Roasters
Omni Coffee Roasters goes for a minimalist/ Scandinavian/ Japandi approach. Starting from their entry way, and throughout the rest of the café.
The roasting room is right beside the main door, and the counter is in the middle of the café. Much of the interior uses laminate wood that is custom designed for the café.
Interestingly, there is a small open-air balcony with bar seating. Personally, we prefer to sit inside where there is air-conditioning.
Seating is spacious inside Omni Coffee Roasters. But not all seats have backrests. And while there are power points available and Wi-Fi for guest use, the tables are a little to low for any online work.
We think the seats closest to the front of the café are the most attractive since there is ample light pouring in (even on a rainy day).
But there are also seats at the back of the café and these might be better if you prefer to sit away from other people’s conversations.
Service At Omni Coffee Roasters
Service is good. Staff is polite and friendly. And they serve food and drinks quickly.
We went on Merdeka, and they gave us a free muffin-sized coconut cream cake too.
Food At Omni Coffee Roasters
The raspberry cheesecake we ordered was nice. It had a nice balance of raspberry and cheese. Moreover, it was not too sweet or sour. And had an agreeable texture.
We didn’t order any bagels or bread, but maybe next time.
Hojicha was smooth and aromatic. We really liked the dirty latte which is smooth and aromatic. The white coffee is not bad either.
Pricing At Omni Coffee Roasters
Drinks are on the high side of the price spectrum as far as Ipoh cafes go. But they are well made.
We did not buy any of their coffee beans, but these can sell for close to RM200 for a 200g bag.
Conclusion
Omni Coffee Roasters is an Ipoh café that we would go out of town for again. The environment is peaceful with a lovely coffee aroma and the drinks and cakes are worth their price.
But if you don’t have your own car and have a limited time in Ipoh, you can visit Jln Theatre Coffee Shop for a similar experience, price point, and quality.
