10 Studio Café should be on your radar if you happen to be in Tambun! Because Tambun does not have a lot of options if you’re looking for an air-conditioned café with coffee and cake.
We have been here a handful of times and find the quality of cakes and beverages consistent.

About 10 Studio Café
10 Studio Café is a detour if you’re heading to Sunway Lost World. The café sits along a short row of old shophouses. Hidden from view by large trees.
Besides the large logo on top, their looks inviting with 2 large lamps and a completely glass front.
The lady boss makes exceptional cakes. And this is one of the reasons we keep coming back for more.
They take orders for birthday cakes as well. We’ve ordered one large one before and everyone finished it in one sitting!
In fact, the upstairs is where they make their cakes. Downstairs is where you can have a coffee or matcha latte (Niko Neko series) and a slice of cake.
The recently refurbished menu has some lunch options as well.
Ease Of Parking At 10 Studio Café
Parking is limited here but since there is not much going on in this row of shophouses, you can usually find a spot to park your car easily.
Understandably, it is more difficult to find parking during weekends and peak times.
PS: 10 Studio Café does not have dedicated parking for their customers.
Ambiance At 10 Studio Café
10 Studio Café does not have any exceptional décor or any particular theme for their interior.
But the clean air-conditioned space is brightly lit, tables are well-spaced and there is music playing. At our last visit, they were playing RnB tunes from the late 90s.
The dining environment here is comfortable and conducive for conversations.
Service At 10 Studio Cafe
Due to their increasing popularity, they now have more staff. It used to be the lady boss herself behind the counter.
But now she has an all-women staff to prepare drinks and wait on tables. We spotted new baking assistants as well on our last visit.
Service is brisk and the staff is diligent in making orders. For example, they will ask whether you prefer less sugar in your beverage.
Food At 10 Studio Café
We have tried a few of their cakes and so far, none disappoint:
- Mango passionfruit cheesecake
- Tiramisu
- Matcha tiramisu
As for drinks, the signature coffee is a little sweet with too much cream on top (for our liking). But iced shaken espresso is really good.
Matcha latte and hojicha latte are decent too. You can opt for alternative milk at extra cost – they have Oatside.
Pricing At 10 Studio Café
As they get more popular, we did see a slight increase in prices at 10 Studio Café. A slice of cake is about RM18 while drinks are around RM14. If you ask for alternative milk for a latte, it’ll be around RM16 to RM17.
But the cakes are tasty with great texture – these are not sponge cakes, nor are they super rich like the ones by Secret Recipe. Additionally, we find that they are not stingy with toppings like real fruit (for example).
You can expect to spend RM30 per person at 10 Studio Café. This is not unusual for similar cafes in Ipoh.
Conclusion
We are fond of 10 Studio Cafe for more than a few reasons. The lady boss is very nice (as are her cakes). The café is usually quiet with easy parking too.
Prices are still reasonable for the quality that you get here. And hence, we highly recommend checking out 10 Studio Café if you’re looking for a café in Tambun, Ipoh.
