4. AEON Mall Ipoh Falim – One Of The Newest Ipoh Shopping Malls
Aeon Falim is still relatively empty, but they have Aeon BIG supermarket.
In fact, this is the only place in Ipoh with an Aeon BIG supermarket right now. Other shops of interest would be the two branches (yes, two not one) of MR DIY on the upper floors of this mall.
There’s no bowling alley here but you can try roller skating and go-karts (PLSC Rollerskate Aeon BIG Falim) on the second floor. The cinema here was previously MBO, but this MBO cinema branch has since been acquired by GSC.
The main pharmacy in this mall is AEON Wellness although there is a Guardian branch here too. Both are on the ground floor.
Other than this, there is admittedly very little to browse in this mall despite how spacious the mall is. If it helps, at least parking is free.

The mall is quite far from the city center of Ipoh. But it does have a very delicious Chinese food restaurant (Dragon-i) as one of its restaurants!
Besides this, a famous steamboat restaurant chain just opened a branch here (Haidilao Hot Pot, 海底捞).
Because of how popular this mall is on weekends, you might have trouble finding parking. Even though there are both indoor and outdoor parking lots.
PS: Have your TnG or VISA card ready to pay the parking fees here
M Boutique Station 18 hotel is walking distance from this mall in case you are interested! But if you’re in Ipoh for sightseeing (e.g., Ipoh Old Town), this is not a very convenient area to stay at (i.e. far from Ipoh Old Town).

Conclusion
It’s true that shopping malls are not the main draw of Ipoh. Personally, our go-to malls are Ipoh Parade and AEON Kinta City.
But a trip to any of these malls is a good way to chill out in an air-conditioned environment while you formulate your next battle plan. Perhaps to check out food, dim sum, biscuits, and white coffee in Ipoh.
As for the non-shopaholics in your group, there is the option of going to a spa instead! There are many massage spa centers in Ipoh to choose from.
