Getting To The Little Habitat
The Little Habitat is a 1.5-hour drive (or 50 km) from Petaling Jaya.
To get there, use Waze and drive along the old Gombak Highway toward Genting Sempah. Then turn onto Karak Highway and look for a left turn that leads to the campsite.
Remember to slow down as you approach the site. This is because the entrance is somewhat obscure. The only marking is a bunting with The Little Habitat on it.
Parking At The Little Habitat
Zone 1 has shade from lush trees and is cooler than the hilly zone. But the hilly zone has better views and a cool evening breeze. Plus, more privacy.
If you decide to camp on the lower site in Zone 1, the parking lot is 50 meters from the campsite. To transport luggage from the car, you can use one of the 4 trolleys provided by the owners.
If you’re camping on the hill or near the pond, you can drive directly to your campsite to unload. Once you’re done, you must park your car next to the pool.
Facilities At The Little Habitat

Communal Facilities At The Little Habitat
For starters, there are plenty of shower rooms. These have hot water heaters and strong water pressure.
There are hair dryers strategically placed too. This is so both humans and dogs can dry off after a dip in the pet-friendly pool.
Besides these, there are 2 water dispensers. As well as a barbecue pit, and a sink with laundry detergent too.
On days when you don’t feel like cooking, you can order a hearty American Breakfast set from the cafeteria. This costs RM12, while coffee costs RM3.
This campground does not have electrical plug points. But the owners make up for it by providing plenty of outlets in the cafeteria/registration area.
Activities At The Little Habitat
Fishing enthusiasts can cast their net in one of the 2 ponds teeming with freshwater fish.
In addition, the swimming pool nearby gets clear water from the creek. A dip here is a refreshing way to cool down for humans and furbabies alike.
A small stream right next to the pool is the perfect launching pad for kids to play with homemade boats.
Tip: To beat the scorching mid-day heat, head over to Café Kow Po for a unique blend of ice kacang topped with homemade ice cream, zesty pineapple and more!
City folk can also experience feeding chickens and ducks at the barn. The barn is near the entrance.
If you want to go cycling, there are around 10 bicycles in working order. There are bicycles suitable for adults and children.
Note: The Little Habitat is gated, and children can wander securely with minimal supervision
Games At The Little Habitat
In the cafeteria, you’ll find a mahjong set, poker cards, a portable badminton set, and a ping-pong table.
There’s also skipping rope where kids can let off excess energy.
Therapeutic activities of coloring are available too.
Phone Coverage At The Little Habitat
Regardless of what network you’re on, phone coverage here is seamless.
You don’t need portable Wi-Fi. What you might need is at least 2 portable chargers to run your fan. And another to charge your phone on site, as there are no plug points at the campsite.
Pricing At The Little Habitat
The Little Habitat’s pricing structure depends on the season. But discounts are available if you stay longer than one night.
All in, a 3D2N stay on the hilltop cost RM178.50. Which equates to RM89.25 per night per tent.
There is the option to camp in fancy domes too. Their effortless glamping package is available from RM200 upwards per night.
