Be wary of crowds if there are any ongoing functions.
Other than dim sum, there are ala carte dishes. And of these, the tender House Specialty Smoked Duck is good.
Prices are on the high end too. But you can expect top-notch food quality, flawless ambiance, and prompt service.

7. Pak Li Kopitiam Shah Alam 13
If you’re craving typical Malaysian kopitiam food that is halal:
Pak Li Kopitiam at Shah Alam Seksyen 13 is a great option.
Top on their list is the classic kaya and butter toast bread. This has fragrant pandan kaya and generous chunks of pure butter. With airy white bread, their toast is a must-have breakfast delight.
Also, their lemon chicken rice is a nice twist from the conventional nasi lemak.
There are more mamak-stall favorites here too. Like the mee goreng mamak and Penang wok-hei infused Penang char koay teowcooked in the tune of Pak Li’s style.
The taste of the food is authentic here. But it can uncomfortable despite the presence of fans, especially on hot days.

8. Lontong Klang @ Sek7
Lontong Klang’s main attraction is none other than the nasi impit (compact cubed rice). Get this together with squid, chicken, or a variety of seafood.
Wrapped and cooked in banana leaf, the lontong here is on-point and fragrant to the last bite.
Their dishes are flavourful and robust on their own. But they really complement the taste of the lontong.
Lontong Klang @ Sek7 has other Malaysian favorites on their menu. Such as nasi lemak, roti canai (flatbread), chicken, and beef satay. Plus, an assortment of kuih-muih (local tea cakes).

9. Restoran Meng Kee Char Siew

Because Restauran Meng Kee Char Siew has char siu (BBQ roasted pork) that’s second to none!
The pork is crispy on the edges yet not too burnt. At the same time, they maintain their juiciness with a distinct smoky taste. It complements sweet and sticky undertones.
Prices at Restoran Meng Kee Char Siew are a little higher. Though this is good quality barbecue pork meat cooked to perfection.
Either savor the BBQ pork slices with dry wanton mee or soup wanton mee. Or add them to dry noodles with minced pork or shredded chicken.

10. Only U Restaurant
Only U Restaurant has the best prawn mee and curry noodles in Shah Alam. Thanks to an addictive broth and generous condiments.
Their prawn mee is flavorsome and infused in aromatic prawn broth. They boil it for hours to extract the natural essence.
The tinted thick red broth is further accompanied by sliced pork, and prawns. As well as a hard-boiled egg, and vegetables for a slurp-worthy dish.
But other noodles are present on the menu. Discover rare gems like the Assam Laksa glass noodles. Or pig stomach pepper soup noodles, Siam Laksa, and Kampar noodles here too.
In the meantime, rice lovers can opt for peppery pig stomach soup with rice. It’sa comforting meal that warms the tummy right up.
