Of their menu, Fish and French Fries has gigantic portions and you can choose between cod and haddock. We find that the batter is crispy without being too oily.

Besides this, you can try some unexpected hidden gems on the menu. Like the savory thick tomato soup or Sticky Toffee Pudding.

If we have complaints about this place, it would be the service. It takes quite a while to be served and for the food to come. It seemed that the staff was doing their best to ignore our group even though it was not full house!

2. Burger & Lobster Genting

With sumptuous food plating and a decadent interior, Burger & Lobster on the first floor of SkyAvenue is the perfect place to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

Among their selection of crustaceans, lobsters take center stage. Prices are reasonable and you can get a lobster roll for RM120 or a lobster for RM250.

The main star of the restaurant is the chili lobster which they serve with artisanal bread and premium butter. It’s a dish to savor every single morsel!

We also recommend the lobster sandwich as well as the grilled lobster, which is juicy and not rubbery. The latter comes with an exquisite hollandaise sauce.

French fries are unlike typical fast-food joints too.

Note: There is alcohol on the menu.

3. Beauty In The Pot

The menu is like Din Tai Fung’s. But Paradise Dynasty distinguishes itself with its signature Xiao Long Bao. These come in 8 colorful variations that are pleasing to the eye.

Another crowd-pleaser here is the chilled tofu with century egg. Also, their scallion pastry is aromatic and flaky and pairs well with dim sum.

The menu is identical to branches in the Klang Valley. Though prices are higher at this branch. As for the food, we ordered the signature noodle dishes and, of course, their famous Xiao Long Bao are recommended!

You can also watch the tenacious chefs knead the pau dough and shape their famous Xiao Long Bao, wrapping minced meat, dried vegetables, and savory soup. Each dumpling has the same number of pleats!

Besides the signature dishes, we liked one noodle dish with dried vegetables and pork too. You can even get crab wantons as a side dish too.

Din Tai Fung has prompt service as well. Waiters check to make sure you get all your dishes. The stylish ambiance combined with the good food makes the restaurant a pleasure to dine in.

But the location of the restaurant is a little obscure and hard to find. Head towards Genting Grand Hotel and then towards Marrybrown to get there.

It’s advisable to book at least a week in advance. Above all, bring your Genting membership card to enjoy an extra 5% discount!

Their tomato soup with its rich tomato puree is one of our favorites. The mala soup is the talk of the town, but it is very spicy.

Mushroom soup is a less spicy alternative. Combine the tasty broth with juicy and fresh fish filet for even more flavor to the already divine soup!

7. Dragon-i Peking Duck Restaurant @ SkyAvenue

Dragon-i Peking Duck Restaurant is at the top of SkyAvenue.

The duck doesn’t disappoint with its crackling thin skin. The portions are decent too. And the succulent meat is neither gamey nor dry. Other dishes, such as the pork belly in the pot and the vegetable dishes are also well prepared.

With fine food and good service, you’ll have to expect a perpetual queue. But the waiters have a good handle on the crowds and urge diners to order from the menu. Plus, the waiting area has chairs and tables.

8. LeNu Chef Wai’s Noodle Bar @ SkyAvenue Genting Highlands

Get Cantonese comfort food at LeNu Chef Wai’s Noodles Bar. Their braised beef noodles with a hearty beef broth and al dente la mian (pulled noodles) are a real hit. They’re generous with the slices of beef. They top this dish with a runny egg.

Porridge is another popular choice. Because they have appealing side condiments. The century egg porridge with shredded meat is a real treat you don’t want to miss.

Do try the Hong Kong-style wanton mee too. It has thin noodles to soak up the delicious brown sauce!

9. Loong Kee Gohtong Jaya

On your way up or down from Genting Highlands, make a pit stop at Long Kee Gohtong Jaya and you’ll not regret it.

The restaurant is famous for its steam marble goby (Soon Huat). They catch this right out of the tank when you order.

Moreover, deep-fried pork belly has excellent texture and great sauce. However, the dish is a bit too fatty for our liking. Besides this, the grilled pork belly is a decent order. It retains a lot of flavor without excessive oil.

Finally, clam soup is the ultimate dish to try here! They cook it before your eyes on a portable stove. The waiter then dishes up the mussels and serves them in a bowl. And they’ll keep the stove going so that your food stays hot all the time.

Lotus Fried Rice is an unbeatable option that tastes great and is best eaten piping hot from the wok.

The mixed vegetable curry warms the stomach. It has a blend of long beans, brinjal, and tofu balls that are well-infused with a flavorful curry broth. Their vegetarian goose impresses with its crispy texture and aromatic flavor.  It is not greasy either.
