Undisclosed Location launched in April 2022. This is food and beverage maestro, Mervin Chin’s second F&B project.
With Undisclosed Location, Mervin wanted to create a sense of mystery. And the almost-featureless facade reflects that.
The simple entrance is to encourage customers to have no expectations until they enter the café.
Riding on the fame and previous learning from Rinse KL café in Bandar Sri Damansara:
Mervin has honed his craftsmanship as a barista while pursuing his masters in marketing.
The self-taught chef adds that it is more important to be adaptive and flexible than smart in this competitive industry.
Ease Of Parking At Undisclosed Location
There is ample parking around the restaurant, so there is no need to jostle for space.
The building is easy to spot too, as the restaurant is on a spacious corner lot. There is a statue of Medusa at the front as well.
Ambiance At Undisclosed Location
The entrance of the restaurant lives up to its name and is quite inconspicuous. As the door is narrow and blends in with the grey concrete wall.
On the left side, the wall has pictures of Mexican food and other paraphernalia.
Inside, the dark, cavernous interior adds depth and character to the restaurant. Jazz music plays throughout the day, creating a relaxed atmosphere.
Meanwhile, the outdoor area serves as a dedicated space for fur-kids.

There is a 1.5-ton marble sculpture of Theseus and the minotaur outside. With their genitalia covered respectfully.

Service is prompt and the waiters and waitresses go to great lengths to explain the dishes on the menu.
Older folks may struggle to place their order using QR scanner menus. But physical menus are available upon request too.
Cash payment is not accepted here. They accept payment by credit/debit cards or e-wallets.
Food At Undisclosed Location
We got the Chili Crab Nachos and this dish features a thick, flower crab sauce with stretchy mozzarella. It is a real treat, although it can be quite spicy.
The Pesto Pasta with Basil Sauce on the other hand, has a succulent slice of premium salmon that is perfectly seared. We like the nutty sauce with herbaceous hints of basil.
The owner’s fascination with tacos results in a menu full of delicious options. These are perfect for starters.
First, we tried the Assam Fish Taco, a classic Mexican dish with Malaccan accents.
The crispy tortillas feature crunchy fish fingers in a tangy Malaysian sauce. The exemplary dish includes mozzarella, guacamole, sour cream, and other condiments.
Varuval Chicken Tacos are another tantalizing addition. The milder spiciness but bold flavors make it an ideal dish for those who prefer muted down spices.
Birria Tacos combines a savory Mexican stew with decadent Mexican cheese. They serve this with a fragrant, spicy sauce and salad.
Aside from tacos:
Nasi Lemak Chicken Belado is another delicious blend. It features Indonesian cuisine and the classic nasi lemak.
The fiery sambal belado gets its bright red color from the blended tomatoes and chilies. It has a refreshing aftertaste that’s different from regular sambal.
Snacks And Desserts At Undisclosed Location
For a snack, they have deep-fried mushrooms with salted egg sauce. The tempura-like batter is crispy yet light. And the mushrooms are flavorful and juicy with a sticky, rich salted egg sauce.
With Mervin’s barista experience, you can expect the coffee to be good. Undisclosed Location offers two types of coffee taste profiles. Either nutty (or bold) and fruity (or acidic).

We like the Bubur Cha Cha cake.It is a heavenly combination of creamy gelatin and fragrant coconut layers. There is a pure sweet potato paste topped with coconut swirls.

Prices are in the midrange. Expect to pay between RM25 and RM50 per person including drinks.
Having said that, you pay for what you get. And it’s obvious that this eatery invests in quality ingredients.
