Ipoh Bali Hotel has been in operation since mid 2015. It is under the very same company behind De Botani Hotel in another part of Ipoh.
Every room of the converted bungalow is decorated to look like a room at a Balinese resort. Some of the items are all the way from Indonesia!
Reuse of materials is an integral part of the overall design too. They even repurposed a wooden bridge from Lumut jetty!

Prices are steep as they use quality ingredients. Mains start from RM23 and onwards. They have cakes for sale too.
There is no issue with finding parking here. The only thing that is lacking is a ramp for wheelchair users.

Their version of the Malaysian classic, nasi lemak comes with 5 different flavors of rice on one plate. These go well with their ikan bilis sambal.
The comfortable ambiance leads to higher prices so keep that in mind before you go!

5. Karat Café
Have western or Asian meals at this rustic café – the walls still retain the look of a traditional kampung-style bungalow. Both outdoor and indoor seating are available.
The taste of the food however, is a hit and miss.
They tend to make their dishes (even western dishes like macaroni and cheese) spicy so do put in a request if you don’t want your food to be spicy!
